FIFA World Cup 2022: France stars hit with unknown illness, tensions in the camp.
The players from French Team have suffered from a sudden illness ahead of World Cup 2022 Final game against Argentina and major doubts have arose in availability of the players.
A virus has interfered with Didier Deschamps’ World Cup 2022 final preparations.
The mysterious disease that has ravaged the France team and put their defense in dilemma, the virus has most recently struck Raphael Varane and Ibrahima Konate. Adrien Rabiot of Juventus and Dayot Upamecano of Bayern Munich both missed France’s semi-final, and Kingsley Coman reported having a fever.
Varane and Konate , both participated in Wednesday’s match against Morocco but may now be questionable for Sunday’s final versus Argentina. The team is not afraid about the illness, according to Ousmane Dembele, and further precautions have been taken.
Dembele, a winger for Barcelona, stated, “No, we are not scared of the virus. Dayot and Adrien had a headache and tummy but they had tea, ginger and honey which helped them and hopefully everyone will be fully fit.
France star Randal Kolo Muani added: “Everyone is being careful. The doctors have put in place a hygiene system to avoid the virus spreading.
“The sick players are in their rooms, We are washing our hands with gel and we try and keep the social distancing in place. We are very strict on these rules.”

Officials from France worry that they may have contracted the virus during their quarterfinal match against England, but they are having trouble keeping the disease under control. They think the air conditioning in Qatari hotels and other facilities may have been the source of the infection. In the previous 10 days, temperatures in Qatar have also decreased dramatically.
Varane has been crucial to France’s journey to the final, and Konate, who replaced Upamecano, has also been exceptional. Although Deschamps stated that the players have been feeling under the weather for “three days,” they are still expecting that Rabiot will be able to play in the final game of the World Cup 2022 at Lusail Stadium.
This week, Decshamps stated: “It’s flu season, so in that regard, we have to be careful. The players have also put in a lot of work, so their immune systems may be a little worn down.
“The temperatures have dropped in the last few days, and you always need to be careful. Regarding the virus, we’re not worried, really.”
In addition to Lucas Hernandez’s worry, illness has also given Deschamps pause as Les Bleus prepare for their second straight World Cup 2022 final. His physical condition is being watched before the actual game, according to the French publication L’Equipe.
